All’interno dell’ampia offerta formativa di Federica.EU, disponibile su web, FS Italiane ha selezionato per i dipendenti del Gruppo il pacchetto Open Learning concirca 30 MOOC. I corsi sono stati inseriti nel Learning Plan 2018 per integrare l’offerta formativa con modalità digitali e multimediali e far entrare i dipendenti nel mondo dei MOOC, offrendo loro un’ulteriore opportunità di autoapprendimento e ampliamento della propria cultura personale e professionale.

Il pacchetto formativo sarà fruito (dal 28 marzo al 30 novembre 2018) attraverso la intranet aziendale. Quattro i percorsi disponibili: Learning about learning, (panoramica sul mondo dei MOOC); International (corsi interdisciplinari in lingua inglese); Le sfide della società (temi socio-politici ed economici, soft skills e trasformazione digitale); Cassetta degli attrezzi (tech courses su innovazione tecnologica e culturale).

Let’s just remind ourselves of the traditional approach. E-learning modules have typically been designed according to a slide-show metaphor, with a fixed size window displaying a succession of frames containing multimedia elements and interactions. The learner makes progress through these frames in simple sequence or as a result of conditional branching depending on their responses to questions. The modules are developed using an ‘authoring tool’ that sits on the developer’s computer and then delivered in finished form from some portable medium, such as a disk, or from an online platform such as a learning management system.
Finally, 25 years after Sir Tim Berners Lee launched the World Wide Web, the e-learning community has woken up to this reality. People want to access learning materials in the same flexible ways in which they access all other online information.

Of one thing we can be sure; AI brings a new paradigm to language learning. Natural Language Processing (NLP) has brought entity analysis, sentiment analysis, classification and machine translation. In addition we have text to speech and speech to text, now revolutionising interfaces. At the same time algorithmic techniques and machine learning brought adaptive, personalised and spaced learning. Even image recognition is being brought into identification and assessment. These technologies are being blended to produce sophisticated language learning and the possibility of learning a language without human instruction. One has to look across the whole learning journey to see how this is potentially possible

Un post forse non propriamente parziale, data la fonte, ma comunque un primo punto di partenza per ragionare sugli strumenti autore oggi disponibili. L’impressione generale è che il panorama sia in netta evoluzione e probabilmente entro qualche anno completamente diverso.
